I must say that I'm quite proud of my SARS mask. I silkscreened a picture of me, the healthy me of four months ago, on it, to distract people from the wasting away version of me behind the mask.

It reminds me of the time, before the reconstructive surgery, that I went to a forensic artist and described what my face looked like before most of my features had been eaten away by leprosy. We then heat transferred her drawing to the smooth canvas that my face had become. Our placement was a touch off so you can still see the tip of my sketched nose peeking out from beneath my new prosthetic nose.
